We have implicitly acted according to these values in the past, but we are now pleased to be able to put them front and center: The decision to make foreknown freely accessible is therefore the next logical step.

Roadmap
We want to not only provide secure, high-quality open source code, but also create a collaborative environment that allows the project to grow. That's why we've created a roadmap with different phases:
- Phase 1: Build new infrastructure for collaboration (forge.foreknown.io)
- Phase 2: Migrate foreknown source code and tasks to the new infrastructure
- Phase 3: Existing customers receive access to the existing source code
- Phase 4: Review and refactoring process - Source code gets "Open Source ready"
- Phase 5: Release of foreknown 3.0 - the first open source version

Sustainable development
By releasing foreknown as an open source project, we want to ensure sustainable development and financing. We aim to achieve this through our hosting and support services.
In principle, foreknown can be used freely in the future and also hosted by other companies. To differentiate ourselves from the market, we provide the Jira integration as add-on to our hosting and support customers.
